earings Haul

I saw these in the store and went O_o CANDYYYYYYY

Naturally, I had to buy them! And they were only €1. The store is also having a massive sale with most hair accessories priced at 50 cents, and earings for 1 euro.
It's called Assessorize and it's in Maribor, if you walk up the aley from the Main Square. No, sicer vam bi lahko kar v slovenščini povedala :D hehe

They are cute and most people will probably cringe at the thought of me wearing them lol but I couldn't care less. They even inspired a make-up look;)

Happy Ney Year prep everyone.

Crazy Lashes attack

Hello, darlings

If you joined my facebook fan page Gone2RehabBRB you might recongize this picture. And if you haven't, please do <3. hehe

The make-up is just your typical yellow and purple cut crease. But, I wanted to show you these lashes that I bought from Claire's. Beautiful but huge, perfect for drag makeup or any drama-esque occassion you may have!

here is a picture without the lashes, just the eyeshadow work.

on my lips: Manhattan LIPS2LAST COLOR, number 280. Use a stain and topped with the gloss that comes with this liquid lipstick.
eyes: this look can be replicated with Sleek Acid palette
eye liner on the waterline: Essence LE

Now for the lashes :) fristly, it needs to be said they are too big for my extra small eyes, however, there are some bambi-eyed gals who could pull these off with zero fuss.

Very extreme, right? Not particulary flattering but that was hardly the point. I need to trim them a bit if I am to use them :D
Surprisingly enough they didn't feel heavy. They make my real lashes look like a friggin joke. There was no way I could blend the falsies in with my real lashes.

On close-ups they do photograph beautifully :D so yay for that.

If you have any tips on how to take some drama away from these beauties I would love to hear it.

Regards,
V.

Mine of Gold -- the very last Christmas look

Hey, lovlies.

I take it you've had a nice day off today and it wasn't to stressful. To those that celebrate, once again Merry Christmas on my behalf.

What i have here is a regular gold look. I used an orangey gold, a medium grey to blend it out and black to deepen the outer corner.

The gold color is Barry M Dazzle Dust number 41.
You can find the swatches for it here .

The shadow was applied dry, over a creamy concealer by Alverde. There is not eyeliner, highligther or anything like that

You guys won't believe me, but I have some non-eye MU posts coming up. Shocking, I know. :)

I've decided today is going to be my day off, studying and obligations
will just have tgo wait untill tomorrow!

Brush drying holder

Hey, lovely people

Since I'm going crazy with sudying I decided to do a quick post to get my mind of all the useless crapissimo I'm trying to memorize.

This is a brush holder used to hold the brushes with the bristles facing down. That way the water doesn't get to the glue inside the ferrul. It is designed to catch droplettes of water, should there be any - but, in all honesty, you really shouldn't be soaking the heck out of your brushes :D

I actually like the way it looks. Have two of these puppies.
Available at craft stores as they are meant for art brushes.

One thing you need to put into consideration is that you can't use face brushes unless you are ok with them stretching the spiral. In my case, I have two holders, so I am not really bothered by that. But what is bad is that you can't put very big handle brushes in, especially not wooden handle with glazing. The glazing on my Kryolan countour brush cracked due to the pressure of new tight spiral.

It is also possible for it to scratch your brushes, but I have had no such issues.

I miss reading all of your blogs quite a bit. I do check my dashboard sporadically when studying gets overwhelming. Can't wait for it to all be over and I can return back to my normal blogging.

V.

    Orange Dazzle Dust

    Hey, everyone.

I have a wee bit of a post featuring barry m orange dazzle dust, number 77.
    For swatches go to
    Barry M dazzle dust swatches
    .

barry m orange dazzle dust, number 77

I actually wear this color quite a lot. It's orange with silver/white frost in it. Perfect for blue eyes.
barry m orange dazzle dust, number 77

Since vacation is almost here, pressure is starting to wear down and I've been inspired to do a bunch of make-up looks, got a couple of cliche holiday colors as well; red and green haha.

I was reading Silhouette Screams earlier and I think I'll need to include a winter frost look. But seriously, there's just so much inspiring things around me I can hardly pic and choose which one to recreate.

Fingers crossed this productivity sticks with me. :)

One more fab thing; thank you to all my 112 followers. Thank you, thank you and thank you.

    Taupe and purple

    Hi :)
I think by now you all know purple is my favorite color to wear.

I somehow knew purple would look cute against taupe.

I used IsaDora's Pearl Palette for the silvery taupe and the purple from IsaDora duo (pink and deep purple, do not know the name of it).

And after a good few blending strokes...
    Here we are!

Also, I am testing a new mascara.
It's Essence Stays on. Lovin' the brush, majorly. Not fan of the forumla; too wet. 2 coats are the max before it starts to clump up.
    Review is possible. ;)

I visited my family and my cat. His name is Lumpi (it means Mischief)and I was cracking up over his choice of bed.
His butt was on the window shelf, his head on the sofa and the rest of the 8 lbs were hanging in the 20 cm between the shelf and the sofa. LOLcat :)
    Gotta love cats, right? :)

    ~V.

    Yellow and brown EOTD

    Hello!

Today I choose to post another IsaDora look.

The blue is from the Delirious palette,
brown is from Classic Browns palette
and the goldy color is from Pearls palette.

This is my school look, so I went soft on the brows ;)
Black liquid liner stops half way. Product is Essence Black Mania liquid eyeliner.

     Face whoring

Make sure you click on the picture to view it full-size.

Also, do my post show up with pictures in your google reader / dashboard/ blogroll? Because they don't show up in mine, but I have not beeen doing anything different.
    It's upsetting.

Hope everyone has a productive week!
    Regards,
    ˇ~ˇV.

EDIT: MartianDelights has the solution for this issue, so here's the path for those that may have the same problem:  blogger settings > site feeds > allow blog feeds >  full.

    Any skypers out there?

Well, soooo I was thinking (odd, yes) if any of you used skype. I remember it used to have a ''skypeme'' thing that they got rid of due to all the pornspam.
    Definately don't miss that! :D

Anyways, in case you feel like chatting, you can search for vanesa.si
I would appreaciate it if you included your blog name in the detail exchange box
just so I know who you are and don't freak out :P

Or if you want you can comment below or mail me with your user name. Either way. If you don't use skype you can still follow me on twitter.
I also have a YT account that my blog is named after, but no uploads. I might change that ;)

That's pretty much all I have to say.

    Good night, everbody.

ExOTD - Experiment of the day

This week's experiment is layering blue over copper.

    boring

Nyx Pearl Mania in Turquiose Pearl
    over
    Essence longlasting pencil

I think I'll pass. Nyx pearl mania desperately needs and oil, creamy base
so essence didn't quite work all that well.

Not a fan of the essence mascara either. The brush is useless, the formula is nice, though.

Ps. I couldn't make my lighting work to use my DIY lightbox.
    Makes me saaaad.

    Vampy Red EOTD

    Hey, hey blogettes.

Here I am with more stuff to share.
I was going for a vampish look, the problem is it turned out a smidge too orange. But it's still interesting, just not goth enough.
Oh, well, maybe next time! =)

A red eyeshadow smokey eyes, foundation using Lily Lolo minerals Translucent silk and Porcelain
I layered a red matte eyeshadow with a grey. whoo hoo, vampires

The highlight color (corners, browbones) is a shimmery goldish color.

A red eyeshadow smokey eyes, foundation using Lily Lolo minerals Translucent silk and Porcelain

Wrong choice of brush for filling in my brows so the result isn't that flattering, too patchy. But it should teach me not to deviate from what works D:

The face is same ol, same ol.
Liquid foundation (Barry M white + Revlon Color stay, 50 : 50 ratio)
First set with Lily Lolo Translucent Silk setting powder and then layered with Lily Lolo Porcelain mineral foundation. It looks less cakey when used in this sequence; setting powder first, powder later.

    And a farewell collage ;)

So are there any looks you guys what rather see in terms of color/color combinations?
Or would you perhaps like a review of any of the stuff that I've used so far? I don't do that many reviews but would like to give it a try. If you are interested, of course.

    Wearable. Coral&White EOTD

    Hi, ladies

This is a quick post with what looks like a straight forward eyeshadow look using 2 colors.
As i am not a professional photographer I was only able to capture 2 colors, but I actually used 5.

The white is Alverde limited edition shade from Rose Garden collection. And all the pink corally stuff is from everyday minerals.

    1. The dark brick color is Everday Minerals blush in shade New Mom.
    2. The coraly color is Sand Cherry eyeshadow by Everyday Minerals.
    3. It's all faded out using Everday Minerals Dusty Miller eyeshadow.

For extra sparkles I added Nxy Peral Mania in Fanta Pearl.

    Flat hair day ftw ;)

The look had much more demension to it, but camera did not pick up on it. Sorry.

    Teal and Chocolate make-up look

    UPDATED Feb 20, 2012
Avon tests on animals and I felt I need to let you know
I will not be buying from them again. You can further read about this issue HERE

This is a post to make up for the not so pretty MU look from few days back.

In case you missed them, you can view my two previous looks here: yucky-teal-and-orange  + Blacky smokey with Avon SuperShock
All I did was layer (over teal)  a matter brown from IsaDora Classic Browns palette, I have a look with it already, check the right side for Chocolate Smokey Eyes post.

I ended up with a daytime look, with just a pop of color. much nicer than the original imo
The awesome thing was that the teal was shining through the brown. So pretty!

What's the verdict? Do you like it, do you hate it?
I prefer it over full-on teal, actually :D
