This is yesterday's post but revamped with falsies.

Knowing your google reader is filled with tons of content you might had missed something, so post that you might want to consider are.
Sleek Chaos Look
Sleek Chaos Review
kkcenterhk lashes review

I used the half lashes.

Any thoughts? I kinda feel my lashes are at long enough to pull off more dramatic looks.
But falsies are always nice.

Sleek Chaos Look

Hi, bloggettes
As much as I wasn't impressed with Sleek Chaos Palette iself I have to say I am in love with this look!
I used a white base and layered a few good layers of each lid color and this is the result!

The lower lashline color, however, required just one swipe over a white line. The purples look cute in the crease as well. And note I used yellow to blend out the purple.

I love how yellow makes my eyes so blue. I only wish it was vibrant and not blotchy.

Last full-face picture. LOOOK
In the end, I decided to put falsies on. SO that is my next post. If
you are interested in that don't be a stranger in the next fe days ;)

Birds of Paradise Lashes in Action

Hello, Dollies

So, do you remember my review of the kkcenterhk Eye's Chic Lashes? Emily from Makeup Fancy wanted to see the Birds of Paradise lashes with a look.
Well, did one and it's been sitting on my fb fan page since May. I'm now dedicating a post to it.
On the lids I used a shimmery white eyeshadow and the drew a diagonal stripe with a liquid liner and set it with a blue eyeshadow.
The I went over the edges of the blue with a liner one more time to give it more contour.

All i can say- it's a tought technique! The liner bleeds everywhere and it was impossible to do straight line.
Next time I'll know better than to use a liquid. This screams of gel liner. haha.

The lashes themselves have a thick band. Which makes them rather indestructuble :P well, they will serve you long at the very least. But that makes them hard to apply because the wont adhere in the inner coner due to the band weight. It will also leave a visible line.
Solution? Trim the band across it's lenght. Sounds crazy but it doesn't run the lashes. Just take your time and use small nail scissors.

DO you guys like it? To me it looks sloppy and poorly executed :/

Oh well.

Hello all =)

Here is a wearable smokey eyes for daytime. I would consider this work appropriate.
One shade of purple, blended out.
Used a black pencil to line the rims of my eyes.
Eyeshadow: Everday Minerals Blush in Cookie Sheet
Eyeliner: Avon Supershock gel liner pencil

That's basically all that is to it.

REVIEW: Avon Calming Effect Illuminizing Foundation

UPDATED Feb 20, 2012
Avon tests on animals and I felt I need to let you know
I will not be buying from them again. You can further read about this issue HERE

Meet my summer 2011 foundation, Avon Calming effects Illuminizing foundation in the shade Nude.
This retails in the range of 10-15 €, you can usually get it at a discounted price, though.

It's a standard 30 mil bottle, but it has a pump. Yay for pumps.

In general, I think Avon packing is lovely, quite classic looking.

Here is a swatch:

 VERDICT

I enjoy the texture of this foundation. It goes smoothly on your skin and perfects it. Doesn't look cakey, it looks EXACTLY like skin,  only better.
My skin has not developed a reaction after 2 weeks of use which is good. Because Avon Ideal Shade in Ivory broke me out like something crazy, but Ideal Shade in Nude didn't break me out at all which is so strange to me. Am doing a review on Ideal Shade as well.

It's rich and moisturising so for summer my T-zone is not happy if I don't use setting powder. I think the foundation would be inappropriate for very oily skin, actually.
So for texture, application and apperance on dry skin I give this product 10/10.
For comfort of wear i give it 9/10.
For longevity wear I give it 5/10.

However; I have issues with the undertone and just the shade selection in general. I couldn't find a pale, undertone foundation with Avon. Which is a shame. Ivory is my perfect shade match but is so pink I can't wear it.
Nude is in the summer when I'm tanned rather close to my skintone, but the undertone of this shade is all wrong. It has a peachy undertone. And I'm yellow so Dear Avon CEI Foundation in Nude, I'm sorry to say but we are uncompatible. And because it is peachy, I will get slighty orange on my after 6 hours of wear.

For shade range I give this product a 3/10.

Would I repurchase?
No, because I couldn't match me to a T.
It's quite upsetting because it's awesome foundation otherwise, and It works with my summer skin coloring. And I will continue to use it because it looks like real skin and hence doesn't show that you really arent that tanned.

Hope this  helps any of you guy.

<3,
V.

sleek Chaos i-Divine Palette

Sleek needs no intorduction, on pricing and general review and info please refer to my first Sleek post

Here it is in comparison to Monaco palette, but please note the colors are not completely true to colors in real life - refer to swatches below for a better idea of what they look like.

See what I mean? Swatched on bare skin they look pretty much blah! So primers/bases are the buzz word
when talking about Sleek Chaos i-divine palette. Unfortunately.

My complaints about the pigmentations:
  1. the yellow is not pigmented, but makes a beautiful transition color with almost any look you can think of
  2. the white is not pigmented, or should I say opaque. It just disappears into my skin, not providing highlight at all
The rest of the colors are gorgeously pigmented.
Trouble is I dislike greens and yellows on me. But I love the rest of the colors.
Would I repurchase?
NO. The fact that these are matte and considering standards of Sleek quality I would expect every single shadow to be awesome. But they are not.
I only adore 6 of the 12 eyeshadow and thus a repurchase does not appeal to me.

Ok, that's my opinion. Sowwie, Sleek

Tropcality Involves Orange

Hey dolls

Here is one of many, many forgotten EOTD from spring. This I wore to my teaching practice in March on Pust which is a Slovene Holiday that is a sort of a cross between Halloween and Mardi Gras.

Essence Ballerina Backstage eyeshadow souffles

And brownies points go tooooooo ... ESSENCE.

The company has seriously stepped up their game with their recent revamped counters and never endingLE and TE (Trend Editions). But recently I've noticed major quality improvement. They are among few drugstore products that are dirt CHEAP. Yeah, you heard me - cheap, nothing wrong with being cheap, mkay.

So alhtough inexpensive brand, they carry so many quality product that live up to the company claims.

Their recent launch was Ballerina Backstage *coughblackswancough* Beautiful packaing.
I found this black nail polish with red glitter in and had to buy it.

What I want to talk about are the eye souffle. AMAZING mousse consistency, dries to velvety finish and
holds matte eyeshadow well.Very opaque, as well. Last quite a long time and I had a follower tell me on fb that they are comparable to MAC (I assuming she meant the paint pots) and that they perform well on oily lids, too.

The blush souffle I'm not to crazy about because it is more watery and very sheer. You'll see with swatches that I had to put lots of layers for it to show up and be careful not to blend it.
Should work for my pale fall and winter complexion. I'm quite tan at the moment.

Here are the swatches, 1st picture has some artifical light and they second one is on natural daylight. you see what I meant about the blush?

Final verdict:
Skip the blush.
Get the shadows. There is a thrid darker shade I don't have but I'm off to the store to see if they still have it. Had I known they were this amazing I would have bought them all yesterday.

Urban Decay Naked-alized Gone2rehabBRB

As I mentioned in my Birthday Haul, I got this beautful thing. I'm not swatching it because of A) it's expensive and B) it's been done 100000000000000000x.

Nevetheless, I wanted some pictures to document my happines upon acquiring this cult beauty. Plus, pictures can't hurt for future turorials reference, amirite?

My thoughts; the PROS
Do you really need this considering the price tag? Well, you don't need make-up for survival, but it's a must-have. It lives up to its hype of an iconic product.
Pigmentation wise I would say Sleek is a better alternative and you can get 4 or 5 Sleek palettes for the price of 1 UD one. But UD has a smoother texture, it's so fine and thoroughly milled it feels like butter slik as opposed to Sleek that feels like flaky butter.  With the Naked palette I got no fallout when blending, and with Sleek sometimes I do.

It's for sure a palette I recommend.

Would I repurchase? Hhmm, would I? Let's the the cons
1. GLITTER

This is a big turn-off for me, because in general I don't like glitter. At all. The shades with glitter are Sidecar, Darkhorse, Creep and Gunmetal. The cute thing about the glitter is that it is symetrical circular speck type and very small. The not cute part is that on my dry lids it falls down when the oils of the base absorb into the skin. I get glitter all over my face. Not a fan of that either.

Makes me sad because Darkhorse and Sidecar are my fav color wise.

2. COLOR HUSTLE
It's gorgeous, no doubt. But on my skin it turns into a regular brown.
There is no purple once I put it on my lids. I fix that with matte plums layered on top. But considering the price of the palette - do I really oughta be doing that?
<3,
V.

3. Brown velvet casing
Don't like it. Just my personal whim, I guess.

4. Shelf life
6 months after opening according to the label
Yes, it would still repurchase, regardless. It's the ease of the application for daytime make-up for a girl in a rush that has me sold. And any color you put on makes your eyes look stunning. Always, without a fail.

General observations using the palette:

- it applies better with a synthetic fiber brush. It doesn't even stick to my natural bristles ones

- the good karma brush that comes with it can do all the shadow-work apart from blending the crease,
I can do a complete look with it, even fill in the brows and do a shadow eyeliner placement with it

- any color in the palette mixes well with matte eyeshadows from Sleek

- the colors can be mixed among themselves and the results are always pretty-looking new colors.

That is all I can think of!
Was it useful? Let me know =)

Soft Lashes

Hey, sweethearts

Here I am, once again with a look featuring falsies from kkcenterhk. They are the clear band ones.
Neutral look with cat liner and lips stained with MAC Russian Red lipstick.

How they look up close:

From the side, unfortunately they peel off (looks so scary LOL) at the end and none of other pictures were focused so this will have to do.  From the side you can see how natural they look.

Very gorgeous when you look down <3
But my eyes are sooo small that all the pair of lashes on the planet look dramatically long on me. Not sure if that is good or bad. But it means I can't wear them for daytime.

Birthday Haul

HI

This is sort of a birthday haul. I say sorta because my b-day is in May which makes me like 2 months late? LOL.  I  was busy!
All of the items are getting their own posts, this is just a overview while I enjoy life :P

Gonna start with the best thing ever. Now, this was a gift from my friends who put a LOT of effort in finding this puppy. it involved one of them sending her boyfriend to Italy to get this in Sephora.
Pretty much the nicest thing anybody has ever done to get me a present. wuv ya, gals <3
It's the Urban Decay Naked palette. Yes, it really is that good.
Epic good. You need it in your life.

I also bought a sample of everyday minerals Golden Fair original glo base foundation. Ended up buying the full-size version and in an upcoming review I'll tell you why.

And the love of my life, Barry M dazzle Dusts were on offer. So I picked up all the colors that weren't blue, green or beige that they had on stock. These are the deal:
Barry M dazzle dust number 52 Silver Brown
Barry M dazzle dust number 100 Brass
Barry M dazzle dust number 68 Oyster Grey
Barry M dazzle dust number 87  Coral
Barry M dazzle dust number 24  Old Gold
Barry M dazzle dust number 73  Red
Barry M dazzle dust number 44 Bronze
Barry M dazzle dust number 39 Tan

I also got the pink 'Get the look set' that has the most gorgeous pruple Glitter dust ever. The pink shade is much like Coral Dazzle Dust, however. And the brush is fantastic.

These limited edtion Dazzle Dusts in Berry pink, and Candyfloss. The purple thingies is a Glitter Dust.

To get free shipping, I added this Sunlight color corrector from EDM:

Yup this is it, for reviews you 'll have to keep an eye on my new posts ;)
