Redish Purples are the Prettiest

Hey girlies!

This is yet another simple application technique, using  a shimery merlot purple with red undertones. In pictures it looks bright pink, but I assure you it IS purple.
On the lid I have a frosty grey and then a matte grey-black color to darken the corner. Close-ups look a bit crazy, but check more pictures below to get a better idea of what it looked like as a whole.

Sweetscent Angleface Ivory foundation as my highlight color.

On my face I'm wearing Lily Lolo foundation, it's a mix of Lily Lolo Translucent Silk setting powder, Lily Lolo foundation in Blondie and Lily Lolo concealer in PeepO

For a change, I matched my eyebrows to my hair because it was going to be seen
in public at daylight. For taking pictures I always use a cooled tone medium grey
as it looks the least fake with flash photography.

Sweetscent Angleface Ivory foundation as my highlight color.
On my face I'm wearing Lily Lolo foundation, it's a mix of Lily Lolo Translucent Silk setting powder, Lily Lolo foundation in Blondie and Lily Lolo concealer in PeepO. All mixed together and applied as any foundation would be.

It's some kind of magiiiiic! *sings*  *sings badly*

The reason why I tend to go for the same techinque over and over is that I have small hooded eyes. And this works out the best for me so yeah, that's why :D
apart from that; I have very senstive eyes so if there is any fall out it will tear me up. If I bring shadow to my outer corner, it will make my eyes tear as well. I always rush to take pictures before I cry out all my sorrow :P

Foiling is the only thing that helps, though.
Doesn't matter, in most cases you don't even see my make-up as it is covered by
my glasses.

So what is your make-up nightmare? Is there anything you can't wear?

ExOTD

Hey, babes.

I wanted to see how gold and purple would work on me so I did a very quick look.Unfornutely, my cam wouldn't focus. Or maybe my hands were particulary shaky that day :D. I definately like it, so I'll do a real post with better pictures. Eventually.

I used Isadora eyeshadows, all depotted but I think they might be discontinued.

And see, no mascara!

Blue is not what I was looking for

I wanted to do a bright blue look with lashes and everything.
Due to poor shadow quality (essence) I couldn't blend it out perfectly and still have some color showing.
It was so grossly blotchy. Eww. I tried pulling the darker blue deep into the crease with no success.

Here are some pictures of what I was going for. I think with some precautions
this could potentially turn out really pretty.
Should I chose to re-do it, y'all will be the first to know :D
Kinda sucks all that work went down the drain. Literally.

Daily simplicity

Yeah, I know another wearable look :) A bit of brown to sculpt the crease where there is none, liner, mascara and that's it.  I'm sharing it anyway :D

Just my typical no-nonsense Friday make-up.

I don't have much to say, really as I'm tired.
Just enjoy yor week. And hang in there, Friday is coming soon :P

Deep purple smokey eyes

Hey there, good lookin' !
As you may know, I adore dark smokey eyes, purple shades in particular.

So here's another purple smokey using mineral make-up.

The key to this look is to use a base that allows you to blend well. For me, drying primers are out of the question, the base needs to be able to move on the skin, thus blending out the shade on top perfectly.

 Products used:
Alverde cream concealer as my base
Sweetscent Midnight Burgundy Mineral Eyeshadow
Barry M Dazzle Dust in Cherry Red  the crease but layered over the blended-out Midnight Burgundy.
Everday Minerals eyeshadow for the inner corner highlight.

The look required a loooooooot of blending and I even had to clean up my whole face with make-up     remover before putting foundation on.

And a smiling face :) wearing a regular tee, how very low maintenance of me :P

Misplaced EOTD

Hey, everybody.

This another simple look from a few weeks ago I never got a chance
to put up, so I'm doing it now.

Sliver on the lid, plum in the crease and a bit of black
in the outer corner and outher third of the crease.

So, it's not exactly elaborate and I still have a couple of non-elaborate school looks to share. However, I am looking forward to creating more colorful EOTD. I'd also love to do some reviews on EDM foundation, was thinking of doing half of my face to show difference to my bare face and fun stuff like that. Hehe.
Fingers crossed I don't get overwhelmed with school work.

I feel like I'm neglecting my blog, make-up wise XDD

How are all of you ladies doing? Done any winter clothing shopping yet? :)

~ V.
