Nought May Endure but Neutrability FOTD

Hey everyone!

Long time, no post. I know. 

School has been stressing the heck out of me and I had little time to do stuff that don't require the university library. So unfortunately this is another school look.

But I promise to do more exciting things very soon :)

And much to my surprise, I have an angle picture I can share with you guys.

Since the light manipulates the shape of my face I feel OK about posting it lol.

So this is my  FIRST face of the day. :D No retouching. :P

I feel so bad I've been neglecting all of your blogs :( expect some heavy traffic from me in the next few days. :D

Sleek Sunset PInk

Hi there, beautiful!

I rediscovered one of my older looks I did using the Sleek Sunset palette.

There is tons of other looks that I've done with Sleek that you can check out here, or if you just want to check out swatches you may wish to drop by here

Notice how I, for this look, only placed the crease color from the outer corner and

then stopped around the highest point of my eyebrow arch.

Inner corners are highlighted with a matte white pencil that I set with a matte white eyeshadow. The same matte eyeshadow was then used for the browbone highlight.

Oh, and I got tagged so my next post is going to be that. Something to look forward to, huh :)

Blown-out Crease

Hey everyone and Happy belated Thanksgiving to all Canadians!

Was playing around with crease shapes this time, I was going for an owl eyes shape if that makes sense.

The idea behind it was to manipulate my natural crease, making it higher and making it seem like I actually have a lid.

PRODUCTS:

lid/highlight: Alverde Light Rose e/s (LE)

liner: black pencil set with Sweetscent Midnight Burgundy

crease: idk (sorry, I can't remember)

Oh, hi! Thanks for stoping by.

This is yet another posts with lots of pictures and no informational content, lol.
It's the darn school, I have very little time to do in-depth pieces of writing.
And when I get the time for them, they're usually for school :)

Friday's EOTD

Ultra school appropriate and boring

All you need for this look is a satin finish champange color and a

light brown. All browns turn orange on me so my looks with light brown all look the same lol.

Lined with black eyeshadow, slightly flicked outwards.

Chocolate smokey eye

Hey, girlies!

School started this week which basically means the end of daily updates on my blog, so sowwie. But I'm trying to take as much EOTD's  pictures as I possibly can.

This look is one of them. :) Daytime chocolatish smokey.

I used my IsaDora Classic Browns palette.

The shade is mid brown shot through with silver sparkle.

 

Just by looking at the pictures I'm am shocked that my highlight color is shimmery this time! I don't even remember putting on and  Ihave no clue as to which I color I used.

Ah, more pictures with a wee bit of my chubby chub chub face.

I felt it shows the makeup better somehow :)

School is killing me already, 5 seminar papers due very soon.

Sleek time - red shadow, hero of the day

Sleek Sunset palette and crazy over-done eyebrows. The usual Gone2RehabBRB look :P Red, white and black are quite Christams-y, I suppose.

In general, I wear the Sleek Sunset palette *a lot*.

Midnight Burgundy Purple Smokey Eye

Simple smokey eyes, using Sweetscents eyeshadow, Midnight Burgundy.

Applied wet, blended out with white eyeshadow.

No eye countour this time. 

The shape is rounded, but slightly blended out to a defined V.

I had such a hard time trying to catch the true beauty of this eyeshadow on photos.

 

Dark purple I am a total sucker for :) When I'm browsing for make-up I always gravitate to purples and plums. For a dark smokey eye, I prefer it over

black. 

And what is your favourite color to substitute black for a smokey look?

Pink? Really?

Hey, beautiful people, I have another make-up look to share. You do know that this is a primarily a blog for eye make-up, right? So there is plenty more to come ;)

On the lids is ...drumroll... PINK. I know, shocking

 

But I really like this pink because it's redish and with gold frost in it (possibly

a dupe for Expensive Pink by MAC? yes, no, maybe? If you have it, please let me know). It's from a BeYu trio that I believe is discontinued. Outer V - deep red and the black from the Sleek i-Divine Sunset palette. I have swatches of all the colors right here -->Sleek Palettes swatches.

Essence Black Mania Liquid Liner and IsaDora Waterproof mascara.

I'm not the person for pink. And when I say pink, I mean baby, bubble gum, Hello Kitty kinda pink. Oh, no :D

But with this particular shadow I simply adore how the gold shimmer plays with

the pink pigment, making it look almost coral. Gorgeous!

Hope you won't hate on me too much for not liking pink. :)

Experiment of the Day - ExOTD

What is an Experiment of the Day? ExOTD is a look, that is only a draft, a sketch of what a certain look could be like. I do it on a bare face (no foundation), without mascara and over a water soluble base.
Why? So that I can just wash them off right after and if I'm pleased with the result, I will recreate it in a more elaborate manner :D

 The purpose of these looks is simply to practice the skills and acquire a certain technique.

Today, I tried using a matte blush, New Mom by  Everday Minerals, as a face paint. Was trying to create a patteren on my lids.

So what I learnt with it is that paint like consistency travels well beyond the line
you draw, so precision is an issue. However, it gives you a very nice crisp line.
Suitable for editorial looks! I adore editorial looks, but am not good a creating them.
Good for Halloween as well, I makes you look a wee bit sick :P

I shall be using this for my further improvement :)

Do you ever keep the pictures of looks you feel aren't good
or do you just delete them all the minute you upload them to the computer?

Green by Request

I do not like green makeup on myself, it's horrendous with my skintone.
But a friend asked fo this, so I did something in green. Everytime somebody requests a certain look, I use the simplest technique, so they can re-create it easily.



You'll need
- a white shadow
- bright green (BellaPierre Lucky)
-darker green
- medium green
- grey (Wood Sorrel by EDM)

Like I said, I don't like green on me.
If you are the one that can pull it off that's really great!
