A Slight Cut

Hey, gals

I was over at Sophie's blog (Ethereal Beauty), she recently did a gorgeous look with gold and chocolate AND glitter Downward Spiral.  Pwease check her lovely blog out. Spread the love ;)

This is my recreation of it, using Everyday Minerals (I think Jane Eyre was used on the lid) and a chocolate IsaDora eyeshadow.
For browbone, I used Everyday Minerals Aussie Perk me up Concealer (love the stuff).

The liner is green, an Alverde LE item.
I adored her concept of winged out eyeshadow. But next time I need to have more contrast with the textures.

Satin and matte combined look too flat.
Expanding and extending the wing would be a good idea as well.

Here's one last bonus picture where you can clearly see my 'sunflower'. I'm taking about the amber ring around my pupil amid of all that blue.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I'm really flattered you had a go at recreating my look! This is the best compliment ever! I actually quite like what you've done, the differences between the lid shadows are less extreme which IMO makes it more wearable than mine was. And how pretty are your eyes! they are too like little sunflowers >.<

Aww, it's no biggie =)

the thing is; i didn't have the picture in front of me, it was the spur of the moment and all I remembered seeing was extra crease definition and shadow brought out in a wing

Love the sunflower.. very pretty eyes!
Btw, you asked if I use a combination of products to get my hair shiny. In reply to that, I just use any smoothing or straightening serum on towel dried hair & then blow dry my hair. I'm not really a fan of using too many products. I do try to use natural remedies to condition my hair though. I try to oil my hair once every 2 to 3 weeks (I started off by trying to oil my hair every week, but lately I have been forgetting to do it on a weekly basis).

I also apply a yogurt & honey mixture on my scalp once a week (& to the middle & ends of my hair if I have some of the mixture left over). I read that yogurt is supposed to help with a dry scalp & honey makes the hair shinier. I've been trying this out for about a month and a half now, so that has probably contributed to the shine as well.
