Bronze look with kkcenterhk falsies

Hello, darlings

I promised a few looks using ES falsies. These are the dramatic ones
and I used them with a very simple soft make-up so the lashes would show nicer against something less in-your-face.
They are huge, which is not something I'd be used to. The liner didn't go down too well, haha.

For review of the lashes, go here: Lashes from kkcenterhk
I used Sleek Sunset palette, the pink and the bronze color (swaches)
essence black mania liquid liner
ES lashes, the A26 type shown on the picture below

When you blink, the flutter most gorgeously. :)

As said, for a full review please refer to my previous post.

Lashes From kkcenterhk

Hey, my gorgeous bloggettes, how are all you doing?

What I've prepared for you is a review of false eyelashes from www.kkcenterhk.com. They were provided by the PR for me
to try them out and tell the world what I think of them.

If you don't feel like going though the entire post, here's a recap;
inexpenisive and beautiful looking lashes. Repurchase worthy.
Slightly above drugstore quality  standards.

The review:

The company is a Hong Kong based online company that stocks a massive amount of beauty related products from make-up to hand
warmers. What I find is that they have incredibly comprensive
categories. It's a breeze to navigate.
The stock images for all the lashes are very true to the product
that you are actually getting.

It is stated on the site that they are Paypal verified.

The lashes that I got are by Korean ES brand. ES lashes come in
so many models I had a hard time deciding which ones to get.
I narrowed it down to A22 and A26.

These babies are ES brand A22's.
You can find them here: ES model A22.
Price: 3,64 USD (without shipping) for 10 pairs of lashes as seen in
the picture below. Yes, that's right, less than 4 dollars for ten pairs!
Now, tell me that ain't a bargain!
Description:
They are very thick, dark black lashes with a very slight and barely noticable blue hue to them. Perfect for a smokey eye, yet not so
good for daytime, obviously.
I love how they flare out at the outer coner. They look best on people with medium to big round Bambi eyes. On me, they look very extreme because my eyes are way too small.

Application:
Application was like with any other lashes, I used my own glue as this box of 10 pairs doesn't come with a glue, so bare that in mind.
Hair fragility:
Hard to believe, but they did well with not sheding when removed. I got 5 uses out of mine, before I had to cut them into half-lashes.
That's quite amazing considering the price.
I held them by the hair with my fingers and then used tweezers to peel of the residual glue and the hair didn't shed. My fing'rs brand lashes always shed if I try to peel the glue off like that.

Concern: Because they are so thick, your lashes wont blend very well. You'll need to make sure your lashes are coated with mascara from the very base (roots).
I have used them in make-up looks that I have yet to post, but let me tell you; they look phenomenal.
                                                         A22
                                       A22

And now just check these beauties out! A26 criss-crossed style lashes you can find here: A26 lashes by ES
Price: 4,65 USD (without shipping)

In general, I'll have to say these are my favs, because the look so effertolessly beautiful once you put them on.They have the Disney Princess flair to them.

Unlike the A22, these blend with your natural lashes perfectly.
On the other side, I found them to be a bit more on the fragile side, however, I've used Essence lashes that are far worse quality than these. They are still quite big but sparse enough not to be obnoxious.

Won me over, big time. I can't wait to get my grubby little paws on more of these.

 This is basically it.
For questions do not hesitate to drop me a note :) And remamber, all pictures can be magnified by clicking on them.

My fav eyeshadow applied dry + Life Update

Hello darlings :)

My exams are finally over and I can honestly say that, academically and education-wise, in the past six months I've had the worst time of my life.  So much stress, time and effort commited to school any yet all I'm getting is fail after fail after fail. I'd need a proper vacation, but my last exam was yesterday and school starts on Monday.
Slovene education system, I shake fist at you!!! *shakesfits*

As life is horrible, here's a bit of make-up rehab to make me feel better. I miss blogging and it was heartbreaking to see 1000 new posts in google read each week. If there is any post you are very proud of and I missed it, let me know in the comments and I'll check it out ;)

So, about these pictures ...
Remember my previous post where I talk about my favourite eyeshadow?

Well, tis is the same thing, just applied dry. I still think it's cute but definately prefer the foiled version. Click here to see it: shiny little link :)

While I was away I managed to accumulate 33 eyeshadow looks that need to be cropped and watermarked. I'm also going to do a stick-straight eyelashes solution post as soon as I can!

I'm back and loving it!

my fav eyeshadow applied wet

Hello :)

Just stopping by to show you all my favorite eyeshadow.
It's the silver Nxy Pearl Mania dust mixed with Peart Rust yx Pearl Mania.

I adore it for several reasons:
- great daytime shade
- it's glossy looking, has a lovely honey metallic shine
- lashes look black against it
- lasts all day when applied wet
- easy to blend out with fingers
- gorgeous for my blue eyes
- inexpensive

Of cours,e the pictures don't capture the beauty of this shade.
it looks just so effortless and amberish.

For comparison I took picture of dry application as well,
so you may want to check for that.

Brush drying holder

Hey, lovely people

Since I'm going crazy with sudying I decided to do a quick post to get my mind of all the useless crapissimo I'm trying to memorize.

This is a brush holder used to hold the brushes with the bristles facing down. That way the water doesn't get to the glue inside the ferrul. It is designed to catch droplettes of water, should there be any - but, in all honesty, you really shouldn't be soaking the heck out of your brushes :D

I actually like the way it looks. Have two of these puppies.
Available at craft stores as they are meant for art brushes.

One thing you need to put into consideration is that you can't use face brushes unless you are ok with them stretching the spiral. In my case, I have two holders, so I am not really bothered by that. But what is bad is that you can't put very big handle brushes in, especially not wooden handle with glazing. The glazing on my Kryolan countour brush cracked due to the pressure of new tight spiral.

It is also possible for it to scratch your brushes, but I have had no such issues.

I miss reading all of your blogs quite a bit. I do check my dashboard sporadically when studying gets overwhelming. Can't wait for it to all be over and I can return back to my normal blogging.

Pink; Fucking Perfect

I was just introduced to this song earlier this morning and I felt a lot of beauty bloggers could relate to this.
I underlined the lines I felt were applicable. No copyright infridgment intended!

Since I have just devoted my feb to school and I won't be making any new posts, I wanted to leave you all with this video. See you all back in March. I shall miss you :)

Made a wrong turn, once or twice
Dug my way out, blood and fire
Bad decisions, that's alright
Welcome to my silly life
Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood
Miss 'No way, it's all good', it didn't slow me down
Mistaken, always second guessing, underestimated
Look, I'm still around

Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel
Like you're less than f*ckin' perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you're nothing
You're f*ckin' perfect to me!

You're so mean, when you talk about yourself, you were wrong
Change the voices in your head, make them like you instead
So complicated, look happy, you'll make it!
Filled with so much hatred...such a tired game
It's enough! I've done all I can think of
Chased down all my demons, I've seen you do the same

Oh, pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel
Like you're less than f*ckin' perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you're nothing

You're f*ckin' perfect to me

The whole world's scared so I swallow the fear
The only thing I should be drinking is an ice cold beer
So cool in line, and we try try try, but we try too hard and it's a waste of my time
Done looking for the critics, cause they're everywhere
They dont like my jeans, they don't get my hair
Exchange ourselves, and we do it all the time
Why do we do that? Why do I do that?

Why do I do that..?

Yeah, oh, oh baby, pretty baby..!
Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel
Like you're less than f*ckin' perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel
Like you're nothing, you're fucking perfect to me
You're perfect, you're perfect!
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you're nothing
You're fuckin' perfect to me...

Glitterazzi

Happy friday, everyone :)

What I have here could easily be a clubbing look. What I did was layer black pencil and blended it out with
BArry M Dazzle Dust in Cherry. I applied a matte black eyeshadow to inner and outer corners.

And then I went in with Barry M Glitter Dust in purple. Just on the center of the lid. Here is a picture of the beauty. It's a pinkish purple finely milled base with added silver glitter.

I applied it in a triangular shape. Now, for my skin the pencil base was enough for the glitter to stick to and it did not crease. If you want a thicker layer of glitter you'll need to use a different base.

And probably a tape clean-up will be in order if you get glitter all over your face.

So, a recap of the product used:
  • black liner
  • black matte eyeshadow
  • Barry M Dazzle Dust in Red Cherry
  • Barry M Glitter Dust (the purple one)
The main trick is to blend out the crease using colored eyeshadow.
Hope you find this information useful. I'm trying to change the concept of this blog so that I don't just spam you all with pictures and no real content all the time :)

Regards,
~ V.

No make-up Make-up?

Hey dolls :)

I was thinking how ridiculous it is for some people to think they look disgusting without make-up or without a sh** load of make-up. ''Disgusting'' is such a strong word especially in refrence to your own face. So I made this post with using very little products and on a bad skin day even.

I'm breaking it down to lips, face, eyes. Min. fuss, min products.
The key in making your face look effortless is  keeping the base light and not putting too much color  on the lips, eyes and cheeks. Think balance!

LIPS: lipbalm and a smile! All you need.

I used Dr.Bronners lip balm (mint flavoured)

FACE: moisturizer, a layer of Lily Lolo foundation and a layer of Lily Lolo Translucent Silk.
on cheeks: Lily Lolo translucent silk mixed with EDM blusher New Mom.

If my skin wasn't so bad I would first put on the translucent silk and only then foundation to get even less coverage and less of a cakey face.

EYES: smudged out brown liner (NXY lipliner) and curled lashes. no mascara - I really hate mascara

That is it. Simplicity ftw.

My cat Lumpi (picture heavy)

(EDIT: my baby boy had to be put down due to illness in
summer 2011 :(  RIP, honey)

Any animal lovers around? Well, this post is just to show off my gorgeous cat,
Lumpi (pronounced Loompy). He's a deep black brown kitty with gorgeous green and blue eyes.
We got him from an eldery couple who had quite a few cats but could no longer care for them all anymore. And let me tell ya, Lumpi LOVES individual attention given to him. He also a big fan of my bed.
We're guessing he is probably around 6 years old. like all cats, his quirky behaviour is considered adorable :P
During my holidays I was blogging about how Lumpi invented a new way of using an invisible hammock to lounge around :D
ass on the shelf, head on the sofa :D

color wheel candy

Hey, dolls.
Remember my new earings? Here is a look that could probably be worn with them.

You'll need Barry M Dazzle Dusts in Cherry and Orange. They also do a yellow one, but I used an isadora shadow over a yellow base.

A picture taken at a different angle than usual.
here you can see how hooded eyes looks like :)

The application is nothing special, I prolly should've bleneded the pink out better. Oh well.

Hope everybody enjoys their weekend.
